A Clarksville man charged with a 2022 murder in Oak Grove was arrested over the weekend after police said he was intoxicated inside a vehicle.

Oak Grove Police say they were called to Van Buren Avenue to investigate 21-year-old Omega Plaisime, who was sitting in someone’s vehicle, had slurred speech, and had a prisoner monitoring device that was damaged.

The vehicle owner said Plaisime had pulled on the radio, damaging it.

Plaisime was arrested and charged with violation of conditions of release, tampering with a prisoner monitoring device, second-degree criminal mischief, and public intoxication.

Plaisime is charged with the 2022 shooting death of Gailon Toler in Oak Grove. Plaisime and a co-defendant, Tyron Holt, were scheduled to stand trial in April on murder and complicity charges.

Last September, their trial date was postponed due to lab testing requested by the Commonwealth that had not been returned. Instead of having an October trial without the lab results and potential evidence, Commonwealth’s Attorney Maureen Leamy agreed to the release, and the pair were granted release on ankle monitors
