Trigg County Clerk Carmen Finley announced Monday the arrival of “DocAlert” to her office — a powerful new tool to help protect citizens from potential fraud related to mortgages and deeds.
An implement created by Software Management, LLC, local residents can register to receive email notifications whenever a mortgage or deed is filed in one’s name or business through the Trigg County Clerk’s Office.
Registration is simple and secure, requiring only one’s name and email, and once registered, “DocAlert” will send an alert whenever a mortgage or deed bearing one’s name is recorded, so they can stay informed and act swiftly in the case of any unauthorized filings.
The software helps safeguard against property fraud through prompt notification, and highlights unexpected activity involving mortgages or deeds.
Considered a new essential service, this is free in partnership with the Trigg County Clerk’s Office.
