One person was killed in a single-vehicle wreck on Barkers Mill Road in Christian County Sunday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car was westbound when it ran off the road and collided with a tree.
A passerby stopped and tried to get to the driver but the car caught fire and the driver was trapped inside.
Authorities say due to the extensive damage to the vehicle and the fire, the person who is believed to be an adult male will be sent for an autopsy to determine their identity.
The crash happened near the intersection of Carter Road.
Deputies were assisted by Hopkinsville EMS, The Christian County Coroner’s Office, Oak Grove Fire Department, and Christian County Rescue.
