A Tennessee man was charged with drug possession after he was found asleep in a vehicle parked on the shoulder of the I-24 ramp Saturday morning.

Oak Grove Police say they located a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Robert Ladner on the side of the road with him and a juvenile asleep in the vehicle.

During the investigation, a glass pipe could reportedly be seen in his lap, and after a search of the vehicle, meth and a gun were found. The Department of Community-Based Services was called to make arrangements for the juvenile, and the Christian County Animal Shelter was called due to there being a canine in the vehicle.

Ladner was arrested and charged with possession of meth second offense, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
