A pork chop lunch, dodge ball tournament, and various other events are taking place this week at Trigg County Schools as students do their part to raise money for the Cadiz Rotary Radio Auction.
Among the events is a pork chop lunch fundraiser planned for Friday, March 28, being put on by the Trigg County Career and Technical Education Center. Secretary Wendy Ahart says they are hoping to cook 500 pork chops.
Ahart says co-op students will deliver meals to those who place orders.
The meal includes a pork chop sandwich and a bag of chips for $6.00. Orders can be placed by calling the Trigg County CTE office at 270-522-2205 no later than Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, Trigg County Schools Director of Curriculum Lacy Shrock says several students are involved in fundraisers this week.
Shrock says Trigg County students and staff realize the importance of raising money to help the Cadiz Rotary Radio Auction.
Auction Co-Chair Beth Sumner says Principal Erin Eagleson let her know the CTE students will be donating several special items for the auction.
The Cadiz Rotary Radio Auction will be held April 14 through the 18 at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex. The auction will air each night starting at 6:00 on 106.5 WKDZ-FM and online at wkdzradio.com. Auction items will be displayed on the Handbid website or app.
