Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says Sergeant Zach White is continuing to recover at home after he was shot by a suspect following a pursuit on I-24 that came to an end near exit 65 in Cadiz.
Sheriff Acree says Sergeant White will be back within the next couple of months.

click to download audioThe investigation began after the Trigg County Sheriff and his deputies joined a Kentucky State Police pursuit shortly before noon Tuesday, March 11. The pursuit came to an end when the suspect, 21-year-old Jermaine Jackson, Jr, of Florrisant, Missouri, exited at the 65 mile marker, ran off the entrance ramp, and began shooting at officers as he was fleeing on foot before he was shot by Sheriff Acree.
