
A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend on Sanderson Drive Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 23-year-old Frederick Reeves struck his girlfriend in the face, knocking her to the ground, and threatened to suffocate her with a pillow.
He reportedly fled the area when law enforcement arrived but was located at a gas station on Glass Avenue.
Reeves was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police and fourth-degree assault.
