In several facets of life, it’s often said that the spring season “comes in like a lion, but goes out like a lamb.”
And for the Cadiz Police Department, it’s currently running true.
During Tuesday’s update with the Cadiz City Council, Chief Tyler Thomas noted his staff had done the following for the month of March:
+ Investigated eight cases
+ Made six arrests
+ Responded to more than 420 calls for service
+ Conducted 40 traffic stops
+ Issued more than 20 citations from those stops
+ Answered nine alarm calls
+ And investigated 15 collisions, two of which resulted in injuries
A new avenue of training, he added, has also come the department’s way in the last few weeks.
Audio PlayerMorgan’s training, Thomas added, could prove pivotal in future efforts.
Meanwhile, Thomas said the spring months bring warmer weather, an approaching end to the academic school year and the coming summertime — all of which bring more typical community concerns.
Audio PlayerThomas said this isn’t just “growing complaints from neighbors,” but also a safety tactic for pet owners and their animals — which are naturally running more freely.
