A Hopkinsville woman was charged with wanton endangerment after an investigation on Honeysuckle Drive Tuesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they got out with a child that was knocking on a door, and they were approached by 20-year-old Megan Rittenberry, who wrapped the child up in a blanket containing an unknown pill that was inside a cigarette pack.

While talking with Rittenberry, she reportedly attempted to hand the child off to another person.

Rittenberry was arrested and charged with first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, and second-degree wanton endangerment.
