A Christian County volunteer fire department helped pump water out of a church in downtown Hopkinsville Saturday.

Highland Fire Department Assistant Chief Doug Chilton says they took a truck and six firefighters to pump about four feet of water out of the basement of Fourth Dimension on Main Street in Hopkinsville.

The church flooded during a storm that dropped over a foot a rain this week.

Chilton says anytime we can help a church or the community we are always willing to.
