Rogers Group Acquires Northern Kentucky Company

Rogers Group, the largest privately owned construction aggregate company in the United States, is purchasing a northern Kentucky company. Officials announced Tuesday, the acquisition of Sterling Materials, based in Verona, Kentucky.

Sterling Materials reportedly owns approximately 1,000 acres of land in Verona with underground mining operations producing over one million tons of limestone annually.

The news release says “this strategic acquisition strengthens Rogers Group’s footprint in Kentucky and supports their mission to deliver exceptional construction materials and services.” Officials say the integration will allow Rogers Group to better serve its customers with an expanded product portfolio and increased production capabilities. Rogers Group will operate the location under its name, as the Boone Quarry.

Rogers Group Inc. has more than 85 quarries and 55 asphalt plants, supporting 10 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
