A Clarksville woman was indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury on Friday in connection to a fatal accident that occurred in January.

A true bill was returned on Rita Justice on charges of vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, first offense with an aggravator.

The charges stem from January 4 when Oak Grove Police reported that 39-year-old Samuel Whitworth was attempting to cross Fort Campbell Boulevard near the Pilot Travel Center when he was hit by a northbound car driven by Justice.

Whitworth was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner’s Office.

Justice was uninjured in the crash and was taken into custody.
