ONLINE-11th Annual Hopkinsville International Festival

The popular local celebration of world culture was scheduled to return for its 11th year, March 26-27, 2021 at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex, but event organizers have opted to forego an in-person format after consultation with local health, safety and city officials.

While the International Festival won’t be rescheduled in 2021, organizers do plan to film a brief, socially-distanced video overview that will provide event supporters an opportunity to virtually experience some of the flavor of I-Fest.

Details regarding the airing of the virtual festival will be announced in the near future.

“A year ago, we hoped by now that we’d be in a position to bring back I-Fest for a grand return, but it’s just not in
the cards,” said Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman. “This unique event brings together approximately 4,000 attendees over two days, and includes representatives, performers and vendors from a wonderful variety of different countries. As special as the event is, we agree with our public health and safety
professionals that minimizing the risk for spreading the virus at an event of this size is the appropriate action.”
