Hematite Exploration Day

This is the perfect time of year for wildflowers, foraging for wild edibles, pond exploration, and more! Meet several of our naturalists at different points around our fan-favorite wildlife trail to learn all about what Hematite Lake has to offer – and check out the brand-new boardwalk while you’re at it!
This FREE activity is self guided. Hematite typically takes a family roughly 2 hours to hike, not including chatting with our naturalists at their stations on the trail!
