AUDITIONS: Missoula Children’s Theatre performance of Rumpelstiltskin

AUDITIONS: Monday January 24th, 2022 at 4 PM at Indian Hills Elementary School
Auditions are open to local children currently enrolled in grades K – 12. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. Students who are chosen to participate are expected to stay for practice after the auditions.
Beginning Tuesday, January 25th, rehearsals will be conducted every day in the afternoon into the evening at the Alhambra Theatre; specific times will be announced upon casting. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and, if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role as well as the scheduled performance. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 hours and 30 minutes will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner or snack to be eaten during the 30-minute break.
The performance will be held on Saturday, January 29th at 2:00 PM and will be presented at the historic Alhambra Theatre. All tickets are general admission and will be sold online at pennyroyalarts.org and at the Alhambra Theatre during business hours (8:30-3:00, T-Th) and evening rehearsals, as well as at the door the day of the performance at a price of $8. The students in the cast will be called for dress rehearsal before the performance that day.
