Mural Unveiling

The Pennyroyal Arts Council will host the Trail of Tears Commemorative Park public art unveiling at 11:00 a.m. this Friday, July 1. The community is invited to attend.
Designed by local professional artist Jennifer Bowman, and a team of 12 high school campers as part of a week-long mural arts camp, the project complements this year’s Big Read program by featuring a Cherokee phoenix which represents rising from the ruins.
The public art unveiling will take place at the storage facility adjacent to the grandstand at the Trail of Tears Park. See the release for details and images on the project.
