Have you purchased your Mega Millions and Powerball tickets? The drawings are Tuesday night and Wednesday night, respectively, and big money is on the line. Kentucky Lottery President and CEO, Tom Delacenserie tells the News Edge there is a lot of money to be had for some lucky winner or winners.
He also reminds people buying lottery tickets the odds of winning are still a long shot.
Delacenserie says the Kentucky Lottery has devoted itself to education, specifically the KEES scholarship, and has raised billions of dollars for these programs.
He adds close to 675,000 scholarships have been awarded from the Kentucky Lottery.
For the Mega Millions and Powerball drawings, Delacenserie says they would like to see a Kentucky winner.
Delacenserie tells us he has been with the lottery industry for 18 years. He was formerly the President and CEO of the Florida Lottery before taking over the Kentucky Lottery in June 2017.
