It was a big night in the Music City on Thursday, September 22nd, 2016. Not only did FALL officially begin, but the National Association of Broadcasters held their annual radio banquet at the Omni Hotel in Nashville. You could hear a pin drop as the finalists for National Small Market Station of The Year were announced. Once the winner was announced, you couldn't hear a thing! A table full of WKDZ staffers were "Hootin' & Hollerin'" as they watched owner & group general manager, Beth Mann, take the podium to accept the Marconi Award for Small Market Station of The Year. This marks the third Marconi for 106.5 WKDZ, winning in 2002, 2013, and most recently 2016.
Beth Mann visited with Bill Booth during the "Live Afternoon Drive" the next day to talk about receiving this prestigous award.
Beth also visited with the Country Club morning show the following Monday to discuss the significance of this honor.
