A Caldwell County farmer is being honored for his partnership with the University of Kentucky. Small Grains Specialist Bill Bruening presented the Wheat Science Award to Trevor Gilkey during the Winter Wheat meeting Thursday in Hopkinsville.
Bruening says Gilkey has been a great research partner with the College of Agriculture.
He says partners like Gilkey allow researchers to provide better information to farmers across the state and nation.
Gilkey says he is glad to be a partner with the University, adding it has been beneficial for his farming operation.
Gilkey and his family farm more than 7,000 acres in Princeton and Caldwell County.
