A Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy on suspension and under investigation is resigning. Sheriff, Livy Leavell, Jr., announced Thursday that Steve Tucker submitted his resignation. Deputy Tucker was previously placed on administrative leave by the Department pending both an internal investigation by the Sheriffs Office as well as a criminal investigation being conducted by Kentucky State Police.
Sheriff Leavell says given the preliminary findings of the internal investigation as well as the ongoing investigation by the Kentucky State Police, he has accepted Tucker’s resignation. The Sheriff’s Office says any further details going forward regarding the criminal investigation will be released by the Kentucky State Police.
