Two Women Arrested On Multiple Drug Charges

Police say a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one way street led to the arrest of two Clarksville women on multiple drug charges. Hopkinsville Police report 33-year old Sheena McClure was observed driving the wrong way on South Virginia Street with expired registration plates shortly after 2:30pm. Upon contact with McClure, police report her pupils were constricted and she displayed other behaviors that she was under the influence.

After a K-9 unit reportedly hit on the vehicle during a free air search, police say they found a bottle containing marijuana, a digital scale, and a bottle with multiple schedule two and four pills, along with more than $5,000 of cash on the passenger side of the vehicle where 59-year old Susan Jack had been sitting.

Both women were taken into custody and lodged in the Christian County Jail. McClure was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs with Aggravating Circumstances, 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Careless Driving, and No or Expired Registration Plate. Jack was charged with 1st Degree Trafficking in a Controlled Substance Drug Unspecified, Trafficking in Marijuana Less Than 8 Ounces, 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
