Police arrested a Drakesboro man on several charges after a vehicle and foot pursuit in Muhlenberg County Friday. State police report a trooper tried to make a traffic stop on a Volkswagen for failure to use a turn signal on Frazier Street shortly after 5:30 Friday afternoon. However, the driver, later identified as 23-year old Jeremy Gidcumb, accelerated and tried to flee.

Police say Gidcumb made several turns before going off the road onto an ATV trail near Gregory Lane until the vehicle became disabled. He then jumped out of the car to fled on foot, but was quickly apprehended by the trooper.

Gidcumb was booked into the Muhlenberg County Detention Center charged with Reckless Driving, 1st Degree Fleeing or Evading Police in a Motor Vehicle, 2nd Degree Fleeing and Evading Police on Foot, DUI, 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment, 3rd Criminal Trespassing, and other traffic related offenses.
