Two Hopkinsville residents were injured in a single vehicle wreck on Dawson Springs Road Saturday night. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reports the crash occurred in the 8700 block just before 9:00pm.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies say they met with the driver, Reba Phelps, who stated she was driving southbound when she thought the front passenger tire had a blow out, and her vehicle started swerving side to side, causing her to lose control. Her vehicle then did a 360 degree turn, exited the roadway and then flipped one time. Deputies indicate the vehicle caused damage to a bellsouth fiber optic cable box tower.
Phelps and her passenger, Kiersten Pernestti were transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
