Authorities say speed and slushy road conditions led to a wreck on the Pennyrile Parkway Sunday night that injured an Illinois woman. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the wreck near the 25 mile marker, about 2 miles north of Crofton, just before 11:00pm.
23-year old Hope Walker was driving northbound when she reportedly slid onto the shoulder on the right side, hit a ditch and then a guardrail. Deputies say her vehicle came to rest on top of the guardrail.
Walker was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville for treatment.
