Posted by D Powell – A few scattered showers around western Kentucky may continue for a bit this afternoon. Nothing severe is expected. They should be winding down in time for those attending the W.KY. State Fair. After the Low pulls out, drier relative air moves in Friday night into Saturday giving us a break in the rain. This break will be short-lived as a returning frontal boundary spreads rain and storms by Saturday night. An isolated strong to severe storm or two cannot be ruled out. Another disturbance will continue chances of rain on Sunday and even into Sunday evening. Temperatures will start out on Monday in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees but the rest of the week looks fairly toasty with highs in the lower 90s and higher humidity. A Thought; I may be stupid to believe in honor, friendship, loyalty without price, and love of God. But, to me, these are virtues to be cherished. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness. Without them we are no more than beasts roaming the land. It seems the way the world is now, that many have forgotten this. I want to believe there is still good in the world…that there is still hope for all of us. A Lakota Elder once told me…A wolf may be a friend when he has eaten but is a wolf when he is hungry.
