Man Charged With Domestic Violence Assault

A disturbance call landed a Hopkinsville man behind bars facing charges after he allegedly attacked a woman in her home on Cypress Drive early Friday morning.

Hopkinsville Police report officers responded to the call in the block and made contact with the female victim at the intersection of Faulkner Drive and Kelly Street. Police say the victim stated 28-year old Stevie Bacon pushed in the window air conditioner unit at her residence and then punched her in the face multiple times.

Police say they found Bacon in the 600 block of Cypress Street and when he saw officers he took off running. He was apprehended a short time later after he was found in a vehicle parked nearby.

According to the report, Bacon and the victim have kids in common who were present on the scene.

Bacon was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with 4th Degree Domestic Violence (Minor Injuries), and 1st Degree Fleeing or Evading Police.
