A woman was flown to a hospital after a single-vehicle wreck in Madisonville Saturday morning.
Madisonville Police report officers and emergency personnel responded to a wreck with injuries between Ridgewood Island Court and Huntington Ridge at 10:00 a.m. The accident occurred when 83-year old Dorothy Portwood, of Carrollton, Illinois, was driving north on Island Ford Road and her mini-van left the road and hit a tree.
Police say Portwood was flown by a medical helicopter to a hospital outside of the region.
