A two vehicle crash on South Virginia Street sent a Hopkinsville man to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
Hopkinsville Police report 34-year old Timothy Freels of Hopkinsville was traveling northbound in the left lane when a mini van traveling in the right lane, driven by 30-year old Emily Stephen of Oak Grove, cut in front of him to make a left turn. The impact spun Stephen’s vehicle around causing her vehicle to hit a street sign.
Police say Freels was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. His passenger, 27-year old Thomas Billings of Hopkinsville, was not injured in the collision. Officers indicate Stephen complained of shoulder pain but was not transported.
The accident occurred around 2:20pm near East 1st Street.
