Two people were transported to the hospital after a three vehicle crash on Nebo Road in Madisonville Sunday afternoon.
Madisonville Police reprot 60-year old Steve Collins of Clay was traveling south on Nebo Road shortly before 5:00 p.m. when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a car driven by 56-year old Lou Ayers, who was traveling northbound. Police say Collins continued southbound in the northbound land and crashed head-on into a car driven by 44-year old Jeffrey Hibbs of Sturgis.
Ayers and Hibbs were transported by ambulance to the emergency room at Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment of injuries.
Police indicate the Nebo and Mantiou Fire Departments also assisted on the scene due to heavy smoke coming from Hibbs vehicle.
