A man’s dog took a bite out of crime over the weekend and prevented a robbery on West 9th Street. According to Hopkinsville Police, Ethan Edwards reported he was walking his dogs on a dirt path by Little River between Westside Park and the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library around 11:30 Sunday morning when a subject approached him, pulled a knife and told him to give him all his money.
Edwards’ told officers he released one of his dogs and it bit the subject, who then ran away.
