The Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA will be looking for a new chief executive officer after Pamela Hamilton announced Tuesday she has resigned from the position.
In her statement, Hamilton explained she would be relocating back to her home state in Colorado. Hamilton said in a release she has been incredibly blessed to work with an amazing group of people for the past year and this is the hardest working staff she has ever had the pleasure of being a part of.
Upon accepting Hamilton’s resignation, YMCA Board Chair Spencer Kilijian said they very much appreciated Hamilton’s dedication and leadership to the YMCA during the past year. He added that while they are sad to see her go, they know she’s excited to move back home and they wish her all the best with the next chapter of her life.
The Hopkinsville-Christian County YMCA Board of Directors will immediately begin the process of conducting a search for a new CEO. According to Kilijian, an interim CEO will be announced at a later time.
Hamilton’s resignation is effective November 2.
