The Christian County Colonel Band was named Grand Champion at the Inaugural Band Between the Lakes Invitational Saturday evening. The competition was held in Dover, Tennessee.
According to Anthony Darnall, Director of Bands at Christian County High School, earlier Saturday, the Colonel Band also received first place in Class 3A and Best Overall Percussion at the Warren East Invitational. The Colonels placed third overall behind Taylor County and Muhlenberg County.
The Colonel Band will host eight bands from across the state of Kentucky on Saturday, October 6th. The annual Christian County Tournament of Bands will begin at 10:30 AM at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville.
