The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office is patrolling along the Kentucky/Tennessee state line as the search continues for Kirby Wallace, who is wanted for murder, arson, and kidnapping in Montgomery and Stewart counties.
According to a post on social media, there have been no reports of Wallace in Trigg County. However, if you see anyone that looks like Wallace or looks suspicious, the Sheriff’s office advises residents to call 911 immediately. They are also reminding residents do not approach Wallace if you see him.
Tennessee authorities say Wallace is wanted in connection to a murder and arson in Stewart County and a home invasion in Montgomery County, both occurring on Sunday, September 23. He is also a suspect in a murder and carjacking that happened in the Woodlawn area Monday morning.
Law enforcement agencies have been searching for Wallace for more than a week and he is believed to still be in Stewart County where roads have been placed on lockdown and a search perimeter has been set up.
Authorities say Wallace is considered dangerous and possibly armed. He has been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top Ten Most Wanted list. As of midday Tuesday, the reward was up to $7,500.
