With October, comes a new president for the Hopkinsville Kiwanis club. Former 3rd District State Senator Joey Pendleton took the position in late September and tells the News Edge his goal is to expand the organization for the children in Christian County.
Pendleton adds they are always looking for new members for the organization.
Pendleton says his favorite thing about Kiwanis is giving out scholarships to children in the community and the annual soapbox derby races.
Pendleton has been a member of the Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club for nearly 28 years and will remain the president for one year.
