Kentucky State Police at Post 1 in Mayfield is welcoming a new commander.
According to a release, Captain Jerry Handy recently became the new Post Commander. Handy is a native of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, and is a 2001 graduate of the Kentucky State Police Academy. He was promoted to the rank of Captain on September 16, 2018, and was assigned to Post 1.
Back on September 1, 2018, previous Post Commander, Daniel White, was reassigned to Post 2 as the Post Commander.
