Trigg County Fiscal Court has been awarded funding for vital road resurfacing work in the county.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Wednesday that $210,000 in discretionary funds were awarded to Fiscal Court for resurfacing work on Old Cadiz-Maggie Road. The funding is part of Governor Matt Bevin’s commitment to prioritize transportation infrastructure projects and increase economic opportunity across Kentucky.

Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander says they learned a couple of days ago they would be receiving the discretionary funds and they are excited they accepted the County’s request.

Trigg County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work, and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will reimburse the county for the project on Old Cadiz-Maggie Road.
