Motorists traveling US 62 need to be aware and alert for a caravan escorting the Vietnam Wall That Heals Tuesday afternoon.
Kentucky Transportation Public Information Officer Keith Todd says the wall will travel through five western Kentucky counties before stopping at Carson Park Fairgrounds in Paducah. The caravan will travel westbound along the roadway beginning in Princeton around 1:00 and will create some minor traffic delays as it passes through intersections in Caldwell, Lyon, Livingston, Marshall, and McCracken counties.
Todd adds the caravan will have an escort that will include Kentucky State Police, as well as other police and emergency agencies.
According to Todd, if you would like the watch the caravan, find an observation spot with ample parking and avoid parking along the highway right of way.
The traveling replica of the Vietnam War Memorial honors those whose lives were lost during the war.
