A Christian County elementary school will receive an award from the American Red Cross.
According to a release from Christian County Public Schools, South Christian Elementary School will receive the award on Monday, November 26 at 7:10 AM. The award comes from the American Red Cross Kentucky Region Home Fire Campaign.
In Kentucky, the Red Cross has installed 39,355 smoke alarms, making 29,115 homes safer through fire safety education and reached 18,910 youth with its Pillowcase Project. Through the campaign, the Red Cross has verified 46 lives have been saved since its inception.
