Several Historical Hopkinsville Buildings Sold At Tuesday Auction

Around 100 people gathered in a room on the third floor of the Pennyroyal Building in downtown Hopkinsville for a chance to buy history Tuesday night.

Ben Bolinger, the Sales Agent for the night with Harris Real Estate and Auction tells the News Edge 11-tracts of historic downtown previously owned by the well-known Cayce family were on the auction block.

Bolinger adds the properties combined sold for under $700,000.

Some of the more notable purchases of the night include the building which houses Life Recovery of Hopkinsville at 913 South Main Street selling for $96,250. The buildings at 1004 (Heirloom Tables) and 1010 South Main Street (Amanda’s Cupcake Cafe) sold for a combined price of $77,550. With buildings at 1100 South Main Street (Pennyroyal Building), 1101 South Virginia Street (Small Heart Daycare), and a parking lot at the intersection of 12th Street and Main Street and a parking lot on South Virginia Street selling for a combined price of $74,250.
