Two people were taken to the hospital after a pickup truck crashed on Alexander Road Thursday morning.
Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Randy Clark reports deputies responded to a wreck with injuries around 8:50 a.m. He says 58-year old Leopoldo Oronia was traveling south on Alexander Road when he met a vehicle in a curve on his side of the road. Oronia ran off the right shoulder of the road, traveled down an earth embankment and hit a tree. Deputy Clark notes the driver of the other vehicle described as a black Ford Ranger continued north on Alexander Road.
Deputy Clark says Oronia and his passenger, 26-year old De Leon Oronia were taken by private vehicle to the emergency room at Trigg County Hospital. The driver was treated for minor facial injuries, while his passenger was transferred to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of a shoulder injury.
According to Deputy Clark, the two injured in the wreck were not wearing seatbelts.
