Two female juveniles have been taken into custody and charged in connection to a bomb threat at a middle school in Hopkins County Wednesday morning.
Madisonville Police report school resource officers were made aware of the bomb threat at Browning Springs Middle School on West Arch Street shortly before 10:30 a.m. Due to the type of threat, all students and faculty were evacuated from the building and moved to a safe location. Multiple agencies reportedly searched the middle school and deemed the building safe, at which time students and staff returned to normal activity. There were no injuries reported during the incident.
Police say the investigation determined the threat received by school officials was a hoax.
