A Hopkinsville man was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance after a report of a possible burglary Friday.
According to a Hopkinsville Police report, 46-year-old Michael Keys was stopped after police were called to the area of Remington Road in reference to Keys possibly breaking into his ex-wife’s home.
Keys was stopped in his car in the area and during the stop told police he had methamphetamine in his pocket.
A crystal substance was reportedly located in his wallet and tested positive for methamphetamine.
