United States Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he was pleased to hear President Donald Trump address a number of key issues during the State of the Union Address.
Leader McConnell said he was pleased the President talked about the robust economy, McConnell added the tax cuts passed a year ago had a positive impact, with unemployment rates at the lowest in 50 years America had much to be happy about. He adds there are some problems, with the southern border one of them. McConnell said the President has called for adequate border security and he is hoping that the Congress will finally give it to him after some back and forth with Democrat leaders.
Senator McConnell’s special guest for the State of the Union Address was Lexington based Chrysalis House Director Lisa Minton.
