A Hanson man was charged with trafficking methamphetamine after an investigation in Hopkins County including multiple law enforcement agencies.
According to a Madisonville police report, law enforcement was reportedly doing surveillance on 37-year-old Jeff Brown on November 30th at Wal-Mart in Hanson and stopped his vehicle after he had allegedly made a drug transaction.
He reportedly admitted to law enforcement that he had sold methamphetamine to an individual inside Wal-Mart and a loaded gun along with an ounce and a half of crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana was found in his vehicle.
After an additional search of his home law enforcement found a stolen handgun as well.
He was arrested at his home on February 13th after he failed to assist law enforcement with their investigation and charged with first-degree trafficking controlled substance, receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
