One of country music’s most recognizable hit-makers and Nashville recording artist will be headlining the Spring into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell Festival Concert in Oak Grove in May. Oak Grove Tourism Commission Executive Director Traci Cunningham announced Monday that Josh Turner is this year’s headliner for the 12th annual event.
A release says Turner has scored multiple music award nominations and received six Inspirational Country Music Awards. As of the youngest members inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, Turner has sold more than 8 million units, topped more than 1.5 billion in global streaming and populated radio with such memorable hits as “Hometown Girl,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Your Man,” “Time is Love,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and “Long Black Train.”
Cunningham says they are super excited to have Josh Turner for their 12th annual International and Regional award-winning Festival. She adds the relationship between Country Music artists, Fort Campbell troops and their families has been a long-standing tradition and they are delighted, and thrilled Josh Turner will be bringing his talent and support to Oak Grove.
To kick things off prior to Josh Turner, Cunningham says the Renegade Rally with Branscombe Richmond and the all-star band will be performing from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25. She notes Saturday will feature an extended parachute jump show before the concert featuring Josh Turner, and after the concert there will be a spectacular firework shop that will close out Saturday nights festival.
The 12th Annual Spring into Summer Festival Salutes Fort Campbell will take place May 25 and 26 and both days will include new and exciting activities. Josh Turner will take the stage at the Viceroy Performing Arts Center (Amphitheater) in Oak Grove Saturday night, May 25, at 7:00.
