A man was charged with possession of methamphetamine after police were called to the area of Alumni Avenue for a suspicious person Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police report 28-year-old Trevor Adcock was found in the area after a call of a man checking vehicle doors.
When officers attempted to talk with him, Adcock walked around the back of a home.
After police arrested him for active warrants they reportedly found a sock where he was standing behind the home. The sock contained a pipe, with the residue in the pipe testing positive for methamphetamine.
Adcock is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
