The Christian County Board of Education set the graduation date for the current school year during their meeting Thursday evening.
Director of Public Relations and Communications John Rittenhouse tells the News Edge graduation for both schools in the district will be held the Friday before Memorial Day.

He notes if it were to rain the day of graduation, the ceremonies will be held in the respective school gymnasiums.
In other action, board members denied a bid to repair the pool air handler at Hopkinsville High School. Rittenhouse says the bid of $192,800 from Mechanical Incorporated came in over what was budgeted to fix the issue and it will be sent out to rebid soon.
The next board meeting for the Christian County Board of Education will take place Thursday evening, April 18 beginning at 6:00 in the Central Office located on Glass Avenue.
