A four-year old boy was flown to a Nashville hospital after he was hit by a van in a housing complex in Clarksville Thursday morning.
Clarksville Police Public Information Officer Jim Knoll says information they have gathered during the investigation indicates the four-year old male child was carrying a ball and walking toward Summit Heights court in the Summit Heights Housing complex around 9:10 a.m. when he dropped the ball. He says the ball rolled under a van and when the child tried to retrieve it the 67-year old driver of the van hit the child’s head with the rear tire.
According to Knoll, the four-year old was conscious and stable when he was flown to a Nashville hospital for injuries to his head.
Knoll says charges are undetermined at this time and there is no additional information being released at this time.
