Over 130 seniors walked across the stage during the Class of 2019 graduation at Trigg County High School Thursday night.
While students walked onto the gymnasium floor, each one placed a flower on an empty chair which was set up in memory of Will Rogers. He would have graduated with the class but passed away in October 2017.
High School Principal Shannon Burcham reminisced with the class and shared in a few laughs during his speech. He asked the graduating class to never forget where they are from.
Daniel Martin provided the Salutatorian address in which he urged his classmates to keep strong.
The Valedictorian address was given by Grace Knight. She thanked the Cadiz and Trigg County community and asked what comes next.
Board of Education Vice Chairman Gayle Rufli presented each of the students with their diplomas, with the packed gymnasium cheering for every name called.
