A Hopkinsville man was charged after he nearly hit a police officer on West 15th Street Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 49-year-old Thomas Weaver was on West 15th Street when he nearly hit an officer and failed to stop after they tried to pull him over.
Officers reportedly could smell alcohol on his breath during the stop and charged him with second-degree fleeing or evading police, driving on a DUI suspended license and DUI second offense.
